Tourism Industry Coincil Tasmania

Exclusive opportunity at the 2024 Tasmanian Tourism Conference...

Are you new to the tourism industry or someone who is interested in getting involved? Have you ever wanted to know the basics of tourism in Tasmania – who is who, what are the stats, why do visitors travel to our state?

Well…the Young Tourism Network Tasmania, in collaboration with the TICT, has created a dedicated workshop on Day 1 of the 2024 Tasmanian Tourism Conference purely to answer these questions and more. It’s the ideal session for any student or newcomer to the industry with a keen interest in tourism or existing young tourism professional wanting to broaden their knowledge.

This is an opportunity to spend a few hours really getting to understand how the industry works, learn about career pathways, enhance professional experience, and ultimately be inspired. Content will cover:

  • The Who’s Who in Tasmanian tourism – what roles do all the organisations play?
  • Value of tourism to the economy
  • Tourism Visitor Snapshot statistics
  • Customer service experience
  • Tourism marketing 101
  • International visitation and trade
  • Learn how to become a Tassie Tourism Ambassador
  • AND MORE!
