Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation has been superseded by a national iteration of the program and will be phased out from December 2026. Businesses wishing to obtain this accreditation should enrol in the contemporised Rainbow Ready Accreditation program.

The Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation provided the opportunity for Tasmanian tourism businesses to show that they treat all people in the same non-discriminatory manner and provides a safe and comfortable environment for your LGBTIQ+ customers.

TICT developed Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation for industry in consultation with Rainbow Communities Tasmania Inc and, Coming Out Proud Program Community Liaison Committee in 2013.

Since 2014, TICT has been working directly with the ATDW-Online database (discovertasmania.com) to arrange for the Rainbow Tasmania symbol to be displayed alongside tourism products and services that have completed Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation. This is an exclusive benefit of being Tourism Accredited with TICT.

• Assurance that your business is compliant with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 (Tas); and

Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation is FREE for existing Tasmanian Tourism Accredited Businesses.

Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accredited Businesses

If your business has previously completed Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation, we encourage you to enrol in and complete the contemporised national program. Simply log into the Quality Tourism Framework (QTF) portal and select Rainbow Tourism Accreditation from the 'Enrol' tile on your dashboard. There is no additional cost to do so. Annual online renewal is required for this program and will fall in line with your Sustainable Tourism Accreditation renewal. The Rainbow Ready program supersedes Rainbow Tasmania Tourism Accreditation, which will be phased out from December 2026.
