Experiences (and 'experiencing') matter

Intended workshop audience: This workshop is ideal for tourism operators, business owners, teams and industry professionals wanting practical insights into trends, business innovation and streamlined ways of working.

Workshop Description: As the global growth in experiences continues to outpace other sectors of the travel industry, let's consider how intentionality, creating space and best approach to functionality is applied - and how that can open up greater connections, smoother operations and stronger returns. And why Tasmania, and operators in Tasmania, are primed to tap into this lucrative sector.

In this workshop, Cat will share 'hot off the press' insights from the Arival conference (held in Australia for the first time in June 2026), drawing on global research papers and exploring why a 'less is more' approach makes more sense now than ever.

We'll use this time to practically consider what a 'less is more' approach looks like in your business, be that in your product offering, system usage, staff management, or supplier and customer relationships. Let's cut out the noise, bring in intentionality, and say yes to more time and focus - for our businesses, our customers, and ourselves.

This is intended to be engaging, fun and interactive with a few practical tips and actions for each person to take home and put into place. Small steps can deliver big outcomes.
