Alexis Clarke & Paul Fleming
Who's coming, what they need, and why wellness is Tasmania's moment
Intended Workshop Audience: This workshop is suitable for tourism operators, accommodation providers, experience and event businesses, destination marketing professionals, and industry stakeholders interested in visitor trends, wellness tourism opportunities, and evolving traveller expectations.
Workshop description: This session opens with a current read on visitation trends, audience insights and the forward outlook, giving operators a strong baseline for planning.
But the real focus is what visitors are now looking for. Recent Tourism Tasmania research into wellness and events-led travel reveals meaningful shifts in traveller motivations, and Tasmania is well placed to meet this demand. Both are powerful drivers of interest in Tasmania and repeat visitation, and the research highlights why.
We share what the research tells us, what it means for your product and positioning, and why much of what Tasmania already offers speaks directly to this growing demand.
Come away with a clearer picture of who is coming to Tasmania, and a fresh way of thinking about the opportunity in front of you.
This session will include:
- The latest on who is coming and what the outlook looks like
- New research into wellness travel and what it means for Tasmanian operators
- Practical ways to think about your product and positioning in light of what visitors need
