Preparing for a 2026 Awards Entry

Here are some tips to help you be as prepared as possible for the 2026 Tasmanian Tourism Awards (as well as benefiting your business!):

  • Register your interest in the 2026 Awards here - you will receive email updates about the program as they arise
  • Register for the 2026 Awards Information session - 11am Wednesday 25th March 2026. This webinar will cover the basics of the Tasmanian Tourism Awards program. Learn about the benefits and process of entering the awards, what's new this year, how judging works, and the free Entrant Support Program opportunities. Register for the Online Info Session here
  • Achieve Sustainable Tourism Accreditation (or ensure you've completed your annual online renewal). You can register and enrol, or check your status, via the Quality Tourism Framework (QTF) portal
  • Register for a free ReviewPro account if you don’t have one already (login to the QTF portal and this option should appear under Pending Actions – click ‘request account’
  • Ensure you are encouraging your visitors to leave an online review of their experience, particularly via google or Tripadvisor (currently, Airbnb reviews won't contribute to the Consumer Rating score), and that you are engaging with this audience
  • Consider completing additional QTF programs relevant to your business. These are all free and are designed to help you develop specific areas of your business – enrol via the QTF portal. All completions are listed within your Statement of Achievement - which is visible to the Submission Judges.:

  • Upload an Accessibility Guide (you'll receive this once you've completed your Accessibility Assessment through the QTF, however other programs are also accepted) to your website so consumers can decide if your product meets their individual access needs (additional points awarded)
  • Check out the free professional development opportunities available to both you and your team via the Quality Tourism eLearning Hub - a national training library of short, practical courses, developed with experts and industry leaders to help operators and their teams deliver exceptional visitor experiences, strengthen business capability, and support long-term growth and success. (And a great initiative you can write about in your awards submission)
  • Consider becoming a Tassie Tourism Ambassador. This program is free and ideal for anyone working within the visitor economy. (Another customer service initiative to include in your written submission)
  • Become a Proud Partner of Brand Tasmania / TICT and access the exclusive co-branded mark, unlocking a range of valuable benefits designed to elevate your business' credibility and connection to the Tasmanian story (ensure you select 'Tasmanian x TICT at the first question)
  • Consider attending one of Brand Tasmania’s Story Telling Workshops to help you convey your passion and brand throughout your written submission and imagery
  • Keep those social media posts regular, and don’t forget to promote your local region's tourism offerings too
  • Review your website, google listing, and ATDW listing to ensure they are accurate, well-presented, and note your accreditations and awards where applicable.

Once the 2026 program is announced, before you nominate you need to:

  1. Select a category that best suits your business.
  2. Read the rules for entry.
  3. Make sure you can access the national awards online portal (note: this is the same site you use for your accreditation, and you can use the same login details).
  4. Check out the Entrant Support Program and get the information session and workshops into your calendar!

Ready? Nominate Now! If you're an existing user, login and click the 'Nominate' tile at the top right of your Quality Tourism Framework dashboard and follow the prompts. Otherwise, you'll need to register as a New User to access the programs.

You will not have full access to your awards application/s or supporting resources until the $249 entry fee has been received.
