Maximising Profit & Weathering the Storm
Intended workshop audience: Small tourism businesses, family-owned business and owner-operators.
Maximising profit & weathering the storm: A practical framework to optimise business performance and enhance decision making for Tourism business operators
In this session KPMG Partner Josh Geelan will lead you through a practical way to unpack and explore what ‘good’ looks like and how to keep it. Josh will introduce and explore a practical high performance logic model that’s been used around the country to help turn business around, optimise profits and performance whilst remaining a practical tool suitable for solo operator and small business alike.
The framework was originally created and proven through Dr Martin Farley’s (Creating Preferred Futures) work experience and his PhD.
Following this session, you’ll be able to:
- Have access to your own high performance logic model (we will build it together in the workshop);
- Use the model to generate and support rapid, simple & informed decision-making;
- Understand cause and effects of certain options/courses of action – including their financial and business performance implications;
- Determine the best approach and setup performance KPI’s to measure actual performance; and
- Stay buoyant and vibrant in tough economic conditions.
