What We Do
The Tourism Industry Council Tasmania (TICT) is the peak body for the Tasmanian tourism industry.
We are a not-for-profit, member-based organisation with a community of more than 1000 operators across the state. TICT delivers industry programs and events to support business development and facilitate the sustainable growth of tourism businesses across Tasmania.
Tourism is the backbone of our brand, unlocking trade, innovation and providing opportunities for business and entrepreneurship, supporting 43,000 Tasmanian jobs.
As the voice of tourism, TICT uses its advocacy work to create a strong, unified voice for the industry. We collaborate with members, the wider industry, and key stakeholders to lead responses to critical tourism industry issues and needs.
VISION: A tourism industry in Tasmania respected for its commitment to quality and sustainability that strengthens Tasmania's brand and way of life.
MISSION:
- To represent the Tasmanian tourism industry with purpose, and a strong and united voice.
- To advocate outcomes that benefit our tourism operators, their families and employees.
- To lead bold ideas into action in shaping the future of tourism to Tasmania.
