Mark has over 30 years experience in the tourism and hospitality sector. As Co-CEO, Mark is responsible for the strategic oversight and management of all operations at Mona (the Museum of Old and New Art). Before and while working at Mona, he has owned and operated several successful restaurants. He is currently an owner of The Salty Dog Hotel in Kingston. Mark is a Director of Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia, Director of The Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania (TICT), a member of the Drysdale TAFE Management Committee, and a Director of The Unconformity Festival.
Mark has mentored a range of people who have built their own careers as a platform to cementing their place as influential leaders in Tasmania, and Australia's tourism, food and beverage, and cultural attraction sectors. He is passionate about developing authentic career pathways within Tasmanian-based industries, and building frameworks that support real skill development and opportunities in the state.
