2008 Tasmanian Tourism Conference

 

The 2008 Tasmanian Tourism Conference -
"Tourism : A Sustainable Future" is now over for another year.

The Conference was held on Tuesday 15 July at the Country Club, Launceston.

The Conference dinner was also well attended.  Young Tasmanian entertainer, Dewayne set the mood for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. 

Over 330 delegates from around the state attended this year’s conference and enjoyed networking with colleagues, great food and some entertaining and thought-provoking presentations.  Highlights included keynote addresses from Alastair McCracken of Ecotourism Australia, Professor Malcolm Wells from the University of Tasmania and renowned columnist and identity, Leo Schofield.  Presentations will be provided on this site as they become available.  Pictures from the day can now be viewed in the gallery section of this site.
 

The Trade Exhibition was again well-received, with delegates enjoying an extended lunch break and opportunity to explore the latest products and offerings from a range of exhibitors.
