The Tasmanian Tourism Award winners vied for a National Tourism Award on Friday 29th February 2008 at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. The presentation of the awards was held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra. Congratulations to Piners & Miners who took out the award for Best New Tourism Development, and to the West Coast Wilderness Railway for receiving a High Commendation in the hotly contested category of Tourism Attractions.
